Built Up Stainless Steel Freestanding Lettering for The Crane Building

Working with an award-winning UK construction company to add the finishing touches to a leading creative office building.

The Crane Building is a seven-storey office building located in the recently regenerated Bankside in Southwark.

Completely refurbished in 2013 by award-winning construction and refurbishment contractor, Gilbert-Ash, for approx £7.5 million, it boasts cutting-edge office space with floor-to-ceiling windows, under floor fresh air, and outstanding shower and bike storage facilities. It is currently home to some of the most creative businesses in London, including leading UK advertising agencies BMB and Cheil.

Working in conjunction with one of Britain’s leading architects

After submitting a successful bid to be a contractor on Gilbert-Ash’s supply chain, we were fortunate to be invited to produce the signage for the Crane Building.

Gilbert-Ash’s brief to us was to create a signage solution that mirrored the building’s modern, high spec redesign and materials, including its bespoke ribbed terracotta tile exterior.

Precision-cut stainless steel lettering for a super stylish office building

Working in close partnership with Allies and Morrison LLP, one of Britain’s largest architectural firms, who helped redesigned the refurbishment, we designed, manufactured and installed signage to their specification throughout the building. This was primarily built-up laser-cut stainless steel lettering, adding a modern finishing touch to this very impressive modern office building.
