Fascia Signage for Kettner’s

Fascia Signage for Kettner’s

Creating signage for an iconic Soho establishment

Kettner’s is a legendary hotel, restaurant and champagne bar set in a historic Georgian building in Soho, London.

Established in 1867 by Auguste Kettner, it was the first London restaurant to serve French food. Being nestled amongst London’s theatres, serving fine French cuisine, and being popular with the likes of Oscar Wilde, Agatha Christie, and Bing Crosby, meant the establishment soon developed a reputation for being one of the most exciting, decadent and hedonistic in London.

Working with Soho House – London’s most exciting hotel group

After being purchased and fully refurbished by Soho House, one of the UK’s leading new hotel groups, Kettner’s reopened in January 2018. A long-term partner of Soho House, we were invited to create the signage for the hotel’s relaunch. As Kettner’s previous signage was an iconic part of the it’s brand and the Soho district’s skyline, Kettner’s management team briefed us that it was vital that the new signage matched this.

Bold signage for an iconic establishment

In light of this, we worked closely with Kettner’s design team to create high quality and authentic signage. From this, we created a large vertical neon sign for the building’s exterior, as well as a discreet laser cut sign place at the top of the building’s fascia. This has created a new feature to Soho’s rich streetscape.
