Creating handmade signs for one of London’s most exciting new independent salons

Cult and Bloom is an independent luxury hair salon located in the epicentre of British creativity today, Spitalfields. The salon was founded by leading stylists, Max Dolat and Jessie Mayfair, both have worked in the hair industry for many years at top award winning London salons, as well as work on countless photo shoots, and international stage shows.

Helping to bring to life a unique new brand identity

Launched in December 2017, founders Max and Jessie contacted JFK to produce their new shop front signage. Having hired exciting London-based freelance creative director, Gregory Allen, to design a detailed, hand-illustrated floral brand identity, they were looking for a supplier that ensured this investment was brought to life.

Creating handwritten signage to achieve that boutique feel

Working in line with Gregory Allen’s handcrafted branding, we took advantage of our City and Guild’s qualified sign writers to create a series of bespoke handwritten signs on wooden panelling for Cult and Bloom’s shop front. Considerate of the details JFK ensured that we perfectly recreated the salon’s intricate logo as well as match the salon’s beautiful signature dark green colour to ensure consistency.
